My Work
I see writing as a tool for exploration, so this ever-growing portfolio spans a wide array of writing styles. I rarely shy away from a challenge and am currently tackling projects that will expand my skillset in professional and personal writing.
There is power in sharing our experiences, in knowing that we're not alone. I believe writing about the raw truths - about life, marriage, motherhood and more - is one way to help others feel seen. |

Professional // Target
Experience in a corporate setting has offered me opportunities to write in both technical and creative tones.
Digital Copywriting:
I had the opportunity to write marketing emails and push notifications as well as digital content and trend stories while shadowing/working with a copywriting mentor.

Corporate Responsibility & Writing for Non-Profit:
Target and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital have had a long-standing partnership. In lieu of in-person events due to Covid-19, the team rallied around the creation of a color-themed kit for all kiddos undergoing care at St. Jude's. I was lucky enough to showcase a more whimsical writing style while crafting the activity book copy for Summer 2022.

Store Communications:
Main objectives: Copyediting and project managing large communication vehicles which flow directly to Target store teams.
Store communication leans into technical writing, and editing goals top of mind are always to ensure a consistent brand voice across all business areas, deliver communication on time to stores, and keep information concise and clear.

Educational
Currently a student at Metropolitan State University, I am pursuing a degree in Technical Communication and Professional Writing.
Assignments throughout my education provide me the structure to build my portfolio, with the freedom to explore what writing looks like to me. I was also honored to be featured in the department newsletter my first semester at Metro State.
